Build a coffee corner that earns its space
A good coffee corner starts with a clear counter, not a shopping list. Give every object a job and your morning routine becomes easier to repeat, even in a kitchen shared with yesterday’s washing-up.
Start with the route
Follow the journey from beans to cup. You need somewhere to weigh or measure, somewhere to brew and somewhere to put the wet filter. Keep those three moments close together. A tray can define the station, but it should be easy to lift and clean rather than becoming another obstacle beside the sink.
Choose a compact core
A hand grinder, brewer and mug cover the essentials for a simple pour-over setup. Before adding a kettle or scale, measure the cupboard where it will live. Check the space needed to open lids and turn handles, not just the footprint shown in a product photograph. Frequently used tools belong within comfortable reach.
Reset after the last cup
Empty the brewer, rinse the parts according to their care instructions and dry the tray. Store beans in a closed container away from steam. Leave only tomorrow’s essentials on display. Try the arrangement for a week before buying storage: the items you keep moving will tell you where the layout needs work.
